Used Book Sale Aug. 16-25

The annual Desmond-Fish Library used book and media sale in Garrison opens on Aug. 16 with a preview for members of the Friends of Desmond-Fish (you can join at the door). The public is invited to attend starting at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 17. Most books are $2 or less each; there is also a “specials” section with inexpensive collectible titles. The sale also includes CDs, DVDs and LPs. The proceeds are used to support the children’s programs at the library and to purchase new books and media for its collection.
